– Hi, my name is Octavio Wilson. I am a Loan Officer for NFM Lending and I am licensed in the state of Virginia. I am a firm believer of helping others. Being part of charitable events has helped me tremendously as a Loan Officer, and it has helped me to understand others’ needs. Some of the charities that I’ve been part of are VEN Conmigo and Fundacion Ayuda Venezuela. VEN Conmigo has helped over 43,000 families and Fundacion Ayuda Venezuela has helped over 80,000 families in Venezuela. They collect food, they collect clothes, they collect any type of items that people in Venezuela need, and they send those items overseas. It feels great to be part of such a great movement and being able to help others in needs. The non-English, speaking Spanish community in the US is a very under-served community in our industry. Being able to communicate with them on the same language and connect culturally has helped me to understand what their needs are and what we can do as an organization to make the home buying process easier and friendlier. One of the things that I love about NFM is their great effort and time they have put into accommodating these segment. Being able to take the application in Spanish has helped me tremendously. So I am very proud to be part of NFM. I am leveling the playing field in home ownership for the Spanish community, through educational videos and seminars for first-time home buyers. Being able to educate our community, we guide us to help more families to achieve the American dream.
– Hola, mi nombre es Octavio Wilson. Soy un oficial de préstamos de NFM Lending y tengo licencia en el estado de Virginia. Creo firmemente en ayudar a los demás. Ser parte de eventos caritativos me ha ayudado enormemente como oficial de préstamos y me ha ayudado a comprender las necesidades de los demás. Algunas de las organizaciones caritativas de las que he formado parte son VEN Conmigo y Fundación Ayuda Venezuela. VEN Conmigo ha ayudado a más de 43.000 familias y Fundación Ayuda Venezuela ha ayudado a más de 80.000 familias en Venezuela. Recogen alimentos, recolectan ropa, recolectan todo tipo de artículos que la gente en Venezuela necesita y los envían al exterior. Se siente muy bien ser parte de un movimiento tan grandioso y poder ayudar a otros en necesidades. La comunidad de habla hispana que no habla inglés en los EE. UU. es una comunidad muy desatendida en nuestra industria. Poder comunicarme con ellos en el mismo idioma y conectarme culturalmente me ha ayudado a comprender cuáles son sus necesidades y qué podemos hacer como organización para que el proceso de compra de una vivienda sea más fácil y amigable. Una de las cosas que me encanta de NFM es su gran esfuerzo y el tiempo que han dedicado a acomodar estos segmentos. Poder tomar la solicitud en español me ha ayudado enormemente. Por eso estoy muy orgulloso de ser parte de NFM. Estoy nivelando el campo de juego en la propiedad de vivienda para la comunidad española, a través de vídeos educativos y seminarios para compradores de vivienda por primera vez. Al poder educar a nuestra comunidad, nos guiamos para ayudar a más familias a lograr el sueño americano.
